Products with no physical form and participation-type products cannot, in principle, be proxy purchased. Specifically, download content, serial numbers, lottery products, and event tickets (including online types) fall under this. When these are attached as a bonus to a physical product, the handling differs depending on how the bonus is delivered and whether it can be used.
Products that are not eligible for proxy purchasing
The following products cannot be proxy purchased because they have no physical form or because participation is the premise.
Download content and digital products
- Download content (products consisting only of digital data)
- Serial numbers (where there is no physical product such as a CD or DVD, and only a code is sold)
Lottery products
Products for which the right to purchase is decided by lottery cannot be proxy purchased.
Event tickets and on-site participation-type applications
Tickets and applications where participation is the premise, such as the following, cannot be proxy purchased.
- Tickets for live performances and events that you attend on-site
- Tickets for events you participate in online (online-type signing events, online live performances, etc.)
When it is attached as a bonus to a physical product
If a bonus is included with a physical product or is attached to the product itself, we will deliver it together with the item as part of the product. This applies to the following cases:
- When a paper or card with a QR code or serial number written on it is enclosed in the box
- When there is content linked to the product via NFC (NFC: a technology that lets you access limited-edition videos, bonus information, AR content, and the like just by holding your smartphone over the product)
However, WorldShopping cannot check or support whether the bonus can be used overseas. Please be sure to check the product page and the seller's information before ordering.
Bonuses that do not fall under the above (those that arrive via a route separate from the physical product, such as email delivery, separate mailing, or sending of a download URL) are not eligible for proxy purchasing. Only the physical product is eligible for proxy purchasing.
