When you use WorldShopping, the fees are broadly divided into two payments: the "first payment" and the "second payment." The breakdown of each is as follows.
First payment (at the time of order)
When your order is confirmed, the following fees are charged.
Product price
This is the selling price set by the shop. The product price includes Japanese consumption tax. You are charged the amount shown on the shop's product page.
Shipping fee to WorldShopping warehouse
This is the shipping fee from the shop to the WorldShopping warehouse. Shipping fee to WorldShopping warehouse that the shop normally sets is applied.
Proxy purchasing service fee (10%)
This is the fee for WorldShopping purchasing the product on your behalf. It is 10% of the total amount paid to the shop (product price + shipping fee to WorldShopping warehouse ).
※ At some shops, the fee may not apply due to campaigns or similar.
Second payment (after arrival at the warehouse)
Once all of the ordered products arrive at the WorldShopping warehouse and packing is complete, the international shipping fee is finalized. After it is finalized, WorldShopping sends you an email with the second payment guidance. If your order includes pre-order products, it may take time until all products are gathered.
International shipping fee
This is the shipping fee from the WorldShopping warehouse to your destination country. The amount varies depending on the weight and size of the products, the destination country, and the shipping method.
International shipping handling fee (500 JPY)
This is the fee for arranging international shipping. It is 500 JPY per package and applies to all packages regardless of the destination country or region.
International shipping insurance fee
This is an insurance fee against damage or loss during shipping. Depending on the product price, it may not apply.
When the fees change
The product price or shipping fee to WorldShopping warehouse at the time of order may change. If it becomes higher, WorldShopping contacts you before proxy purchasing and proceeds only after obtaining your consent. If it becomes lower, the difference is deducted and settled at the second payment.

About customs duties and destination-country import tax
For shipping products overseas, in addition to the fees paid to WorldShopping above, customs duties or destination country’s import tax may apply.
Customs duties
This is a tax that the destination country imposes on the person who receives the package (the importer). Customs duties are a tax paid to the government of the destination country and are not received by WorldShopping. The amount varies depending on the laws of the destination country, the type of product, and the product price.
The way customs duties are paid is divided into two, depending on the shipping method.
- DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): When the product arrives, you pay the local carrier or customs directly. Most orders use this method.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): For eligible orders, WorldShopping receives the amount from you at the second payment and remits it to the local government on your behalf.

Destination-country import tax
Depending on the destination country or region, local consumption tax (such as VAT, GST, or Sales and Use Tax) applies. Destination country’s import tax is a tax paid to the government of the destination country and is not received by WorldShopping.
For eligible countries and regions, WorldShopping receives it from you at the second payment and remits it to the local government on your behalf. However, when the order amount exceeds a certain amount in Australia or the United Kingdom, WorldShopping does not receive it, and you pay the carrier directly when you receive the product.
For eligible countries and regions and the detailed mechanism, please see the following help page.
