WorldShopping is a proxy purchasing service that buys products from Japanese online shops on your behalf and ships them to your overseas delivery address.
How WorldShopping works
When you choose a product at a Japanese online shop, WorldShopping purchases it from the shop on your behalf. After the product arrives at the WorldShopping warehouse (in Japan) and is inspected, WorldShopping ships it internationally to your destination country.
You do not need to contact the shop directly. WorldShopping handles all of the ordering, payment, and shipping procedures on your behalf.
Steps to use the service
Points to note
WorldShopping is a "proxy purchasing service” that buys products on your behalf. Please note the following.
- No purchase history remains in your shop account, because purchases are made with the WorldShopping account.
- Shop points and coupons cannot be used, because purchases are made with the WorldShopping account. Coupons issued by WorldShopping can be used. For details, please see "Can I use shop points or coupons?" .
- Depending on your destination country, customs duties or destination country’s import tax may apply. These are taxes paid to the government of your destination country and are not received by WorldShopping. You either pay them locally when the product arrives, or WorldShopping receives them from you at the second payment and remits them to the local government on your behalf (this varies by destination country). For details, please see "Customs duties and Destination country’s import tax may apply separately".
