When items purchased overseas arrive in your country of residence, you may be subject to customs duties based on the laws of that country.
Customs duty is a tax imposed by the government on goods imported from abroad.
In the event of customs duties, please follow the instructions of the customs office to complete customs clearance procedures.
The incidence of customs duty and customs duty rates vary by country and region, so please contact the customs office in your country of residence for details.
Prices listed on WorldShopping do not include customs duty.
The customers are responsible for customs duty if they occur, so please check carefully before placing an order.
*Please note that if the parcel is returned to Japan due to non-payment of customs duty, we will not be able to accept return or refund.
For Shipments to the U.S.: About the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Option
For certain shipments to the U.S., you may be able to select our DDP option to prepay customs duties.
If you select DDP, you will pay for customs duties during the second payment when your items are shipped. This means that, in principle, no additional payment is required when you receive your items.
Eligibility: This option is available for ECMS shipments to the U.S. Mainland with an invoice value of 800 USD or less.
Prepaid Duty Calculation: Calculated based on an estimated rate that includes customs-related fees.
Payment Timing: This amount is paid together with your international shipping fee during the second payment.
Adjustments: We do not issue refunds or make additional charges if there is a difference between the prepaid amount and the actual customs duty. (Duties are also generally non-refundable for cancellations or returns). Please be aware that state taxes may be charged separately.
